Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is an experiential technique that brings mindful attention to our internal organization. As a trauma therapy, it aims to liberate the action we wish we could have taken when we were overwhelmed. As a therapy for developmental wounding, it seeks to challenge harmful beliefs about the self and help the client gain access to missing experiences. The therapist pays close attention to the client's limiting beliefs, habitual movements and postures, typical levels of autonomic arousal and works with the client to expand the client's capacity to live life fully.
