Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback is direct training of the brain. Just as physical exercise benefits our muscles and cardiovascular health, this exercise for the brain can help improve brain functioning. Because the brain runs many body functions, training it is the most direct way of resolving the bodily aspects of mental distress. For example, if you are having trouble either falling asleep or waking up, neurofeedback can help you.

Neurofeedback is a very effective treatment for many somatic complaints, including migraine, insomnia, gut problems such as IBS or chronic constipation, and high blood pressure. It is also effective for anxiety, depression, ADHD, stroke rehabilitation, and the autism spectrum. Be aware that insurance companies will typically refuse to pay for neurofeedback, deeming it "experimental."
